Butterfly and Ladybug Releases serve more than 1000 individuals per year

ITK holds live butterfly and ladybug release events in conjunction with our other events as an exciting way to cap off a great day of healing! During these events more than 200 live, indigenous butterflies and more than 3000 ladybugs are released as children and adults watch in wonder. Butterflies serve as a symbol of transformation for ITK families. Each butterfly reveals the unique beauty that every individual has to offer. Ladybugs alight to spread their good luck and fortune to our ITK community.

Families who attend these events have an opportunity to participate in a variety of crafts and activities including face and finger painting, fun with clay, origami and live music. Families also have the chance to design Smile and Kindness Cards for Hospitalized children.
