Volunteer

Volunteers Gratefully Received!

Integrative Touch for Kids depends on our generous volunteers! Our volunteers are invaluable for the work that we do and we are deeply grateful for all of your efforts.

Whether you’re interested in volunteering at events, in the office, or working directly with children and families (for one hour a week or hundreds of hours a year!) we have a volunteer opportunity to fit your unique skills and schedule.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are currently needed in these priority areas:

  1. Long term individual volunteers who will commit to a consistent time and number of hours each week or month for specific projects i.e. office projects, committee projects, writing projects, etc.
  2. Volunteer leaders to organize group projects, i.e. event preparations and decorating, goody bag assembly, etc.
  3. Volunteer “Ambassadors for Change.” Ambassadors for Change are volunteers who serve as our voice in the community and speak at public events and outreach opportunities on behalf of Integrative Touch for Kids.
  4. Volunteer healing arts practitioners for our healing retreats for children and families.

To find the volunteer opportunity that fits your needs, or for more information, contact our Volunteer Coordinator at our contact us form.

Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) use is higher in children with special healthcare needs than in the general pediatric population. Some of the most commonly used practices include prayer, massage, and specialty vitamins/supplements. Parents who use CAM for themselves are more likely to access CAM for their child.
