Mission Statement

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for children with developmental disabilities, genetic conditions, cancers and other chronic, acute or life-limiting illnesses. We are creating a model of health and wellness that empowers children through a whole-system, whole-family approach and integrates them more fully into their families and their communities.

Integrative Touch for Kids recognizes when a child has special needs, a family has special needs. We care for the whole family by providing healing retreats, therapeutic services and on-going education in integrative medical therapies that can be implemented in the day-to-day lives of families. Our model supports the needs of the child, their siblings and primary caregivers. We believe that whole-child, whole family services should be available regardless of economic background and we strive to increase access to therapies that would otherwise be unattainable.

To study and develop the use of integrative medicine and our unique model of care, Integrative Touch for Kids engages in scientific research through collaboration with academic and medical institutions. We work directly with medical providers, pediatric hospitals, hospices, practitioners and families' home communities to provide consultation, education, resources and support.

Logan's Story

When we first met Logan, he was a shy thirteen year old dealing with the challenges of a rare liver and kidney disease. He joined us for the first Healing Retreat Program in 2009, along with his mother, father and sixteen year old brother. During their stay, Logan and his famiy had the opportunity to receive new healing therapies in an environment that was safe, understanding and nurturing.
