
Brenda Barry. Brenda Barry has over 20 years' experience in workforce development and education reform, particularly in developing strategic connections between education and business entities. Brenda owns a national consulting firm specializing in education reform, workforce preparation, and economic development. The firm, CMR Ventures, Inc., implements its mission in multiple ways including research, evaluation and direct support to schools and intermediary organizations.
Daniel Beider. (Advisory) Daniel is the founder and Principal and Managing Director of Paramount Lodging Advisors. He has been recognized by NAI Global Hotels with the Fitzpatrick award and the Global Vision award during his tenure, and was a consistent top performer and multiple member of the Gold Club, which recognized collaborative brokerage.
Shay Beider, M.P.H., L.M.T. Shay is the founder and Executive Director of Integrative Touch for Kids. She lectures, teaches, practices and publishes internationally in the field of pediatric massage and integrative healing therapies for children of all ages and abilities. Shay has been an investigator on several touch and massage research studies. In 2003, Shay was awarded the Women's Studies Achievement Award by UCLA.
Marc Bleaman, J.D. (Advisory). Marc is the founder of the Bleaman Law Firm, P.C.. His wife, Sandy Coronado Bleaman, serves as the Deputy Director for Integrative Touch for Kids.
Karen Boulanger, M.P.H. Karen's career has included massage therapy, holistic health, education, and public health research. She is currently the Practice Section editor for the International Journal of Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork. Karen provides care to children and pregnant women at Lucille Packard Children's Hospital and is a PhD Candidate at the University of Iowa studying community and behavioral health.
Joe Cristiani. (Advisory) Joe is the owner of Aqua Chill, a leader in purified drinking water systems throughout the U.S. Previously, Joe operated a chain of wireless retail stores in Southern Arizona from 1993 -2006. He has been a tireless supporter of children's charities and supports children in need in our community.
Peter DuBois. (Advisory) Peter is currently the Executive Director for the California Dental Association and has been a long time supporter of causes that are beneficial to the health and well-being of children.
Ellyn Gold, Ph.D. (Advisory) Ellyn has experience working with children and families for over 40 years. She has been an educator, administrator, developmental therapist, founder, owner and director of Adoption By Choice Ltd. (Chicago). Ellyn recently wrote a model program for parents with children in the NICU at UMC in Tucson. She is currently serving as the auction chairperson for ITK for the 2011 gala event.
Jeffrey Gold. Jeff is an engineer, entrepreneur, corporate executive, angel investor and board member. Mr. Gold started two highly successful software companies. His first company wrote some of the initial software sold by Apple Computer. His second company was one of the first to release windows-based accounting applications. Mr. Gold retired from the software industry in 2001 and since that time has been doing private consulting work and serving on boards.
Kelly Greene. Kelly is a native Arizonan who grew up in the Phoenix area. She is a successful business woman, who owns several businesses in town with her husband Scott, including Evidence Solutions, Inc., a computer, technology, and digital forensics firm, and Great Scott Enterprises, Inc. a full service computer consulting company. She is married and has four children.
Jeff Hursh. (Advisory) Jeff is an associate attorney for Snell & Wilmer in Tucson. His practice is concentrated in real estate and corporate law, zoning and land use, commercial lending, business entity formation, emerging businesses and licensing agreements.
Stacy R. Harmon. Stacy has been an Executive Assistant to the CEO’s and CFO’s of major corporations. She is a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals and is an active volunteer for the Children's Advocacy Center.
Peggy Holt. Peggy is a behavioral therapist with more than 20 years of experience who currently works part time at Canyon Ranch. She teaches a variety of workshops including change and peak performance workshops and recently co-authored a book on peak performance with the Medical Director from Canyon Ranch.
William Kelley (Advisory). William is the Chief Financial Officer for Diamond Ventures, Inc., one of the leading real estate development, investment, and venture capitalist companies in Arizona. Previously, William served a vice president of finance for the Venture West Group, Inc. and provided development services to Bourn Properties, Inc. Among his many other accomplishments, he has served on many governmental committees and was the treasurer for former Congressman Jim Kolbe.
Katie Landherr, M.D. Katie is a medical doctor who is a graduate of the Program of Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. This program is under the direction of Andrew Weil, MD and is constructed to bring an Integrative approach to the field of allopathic medicine. Katie, along with her husband Shawn A. Tassone, is a co-founder of La Dea Women's Health in Tucson, AZ.
Jamie Lakin Kelley, R.P.T.. Jamie is a registered play therapist who uses play therapy techniques and unconditional acceptance to support children and families in need. She has served on several non-profit boards and currently is the chair of the Tucson Event Planning Committee for Integrative Touch for Kids.
Eric Mackey (Advisory). Eric has been with Integrative Touch for Kids since 2008 and was part of the Pilot Planning Committee bringing about ITK's first Healing Retreat. He is a massage therapist, Reiki Master and instructor as well as a Crossfit gym co-owner.
Rick Paz (Advisory). Rick has a wonderful history of fine food and great music. He has been part of the celebrated four-piece band Sunday Afternoon and is currently a manager at Fleming's Steakhouse and Wine Bar in Tucson, Arizona.
Marco Prado (Advisory). Marco is a certified shiatsu practitioner with a private practice in Tucson, Arizona. He is also trained in Craniosacral therapy and offers design solutions using VASTU, an Indian ancient art of creating environments. Marco has previous experience as a board member and volunteer for other local non-profit organizations.
James Schulman (Advisory). James has a background in engineering and user-centered product design. He has held research and strategy roles with companies such as Solo Cup, Dyson, Steelcase, and Razorfish. An avid cook and locavore, James has spent years working in professional kitchens and writes two food and cooking blogs focusing on the connection between food, health, wellness and raising children to eat smarter. James lives with his family in Chicago.
Christopher Stamos (Advisory). Chris was Managing Partner of the NY offices of Sterling Stamos Capital Management and the President of Corporate Philanthropy. He served as Vice Chairman of Friends Without a Border, an NGO which supports the Angkor hospital for children in Cambodia. Chris has a passion for serving children in communities around the globe.
Ruey Chang, M.D., M.P.H. Dr. Chang is a pediatric cardiologist and director of the pediatric exercise laboratory at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He is interested in exercise physiology and preventive medicine. His research includes exercise rehabilitation, physical activity assessment, and newborns with congenital heart disease.
Gwen Glew, M.D., M.P.H. Dr. Glew is a pediatric fellow in the Department of Genetics and Developmental Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle. She attended Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and did her residency in pediatrics at the University of Washington. She got a Master in Public Health degree at the University of Washington. She has also worked as a pediatrician in Puerto Rico and she has two small children. She is currently specializing in developmental and behavioral pediatrics with the goal of caring for children with special needs and developmental delays. Her current research projects involve bullying, autism, cerebral palsy, and massage.
Sanford Newmark, M.D. Dr. Newmark is a physician with 24 years of experience in pediatrics. He practiced as a general pediatrician in Tucson for 14 years, with a special interest in Behavioral problems such as ADHD and Autism. He then completed a 2 year fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the Program in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona under the leadership of Dr. Andrew Weil. He is the first graduate of this program to be in general pediatric practice in the United States. For the last 5 years he has been the Director of the Center for Pediatric Integrative Medicine, a consulting practice for children with a wide variety of medical issues. In January of 2009 he joined Whole Child Wellness, an integrative Pediatric practice in the San Francisco area.He has written 3 academic textbook chapters in the field of Integrative Pediatrics and lectures on the treatment of autism and ADHD. He also is an active faculty member of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine.
Lawrence D. Rosen, M.D. Dr. Rosen is a board-certified general pediatrician committed to family-centered, holistic child health care. He practices primary care integrative pediatrics in northern New Jersey. Dr. Rosen also serves as Section Chief of the Division of Pediatric Integrative Medicine at the Hackensack University Medical Center. He is the Program Chair of the AAP's provisional Section on Complementary, Holistic and Integrative Medicine, and he chairs the Integrative Pediatrics Council. Additionally, Dr. Rosen authors the world’s first integrative pediatrics blog, “the whole child.”
David M. Steinhorn, M.D. Dr. Steinhorn is the medical director of the Judith Nan Joy Integrative Medicine Initiative at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He is a Professor of Pediatrics at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. Dr. Steinhorn's specialties are critical care (pediatric intensive care unit), pediatric palliative care and integrative medicine. Dr. Steinhorn lectures widely on palliative care, humanistic medicine and the care of critically-ill children.

Logan's Story
When we first met Logan, he was a shy thirteen year old dealing with the challenges of a rare liver and kidney disease. He joined us for the first Healing Retreat Program in 2009, along with his mother, father and sixteen year old brother. During their stay, Logan and his famiy had the opportunity to receive new healing therapies in an environment that was safe, understanding and nurturing.
